About Elsa

Hey there! I'm Elsa Krieg, owner and gal behind the camera of Lonesome Dove Photography. I was raised in the beautiful mountains of Granby, CO. Photography wasn't a passion of mine until recently, but capturing the moments worth remembering was something I always loved doing. There's something about preserving a memory in a photo and sharing that with generations to come that I have always cherished and want others to have memories to pass down.

When I'm not capturing life's beautiful moments you can usually find me coaching volleyball, enjoying the outdoors with my dogs, or planning (and usually last minute packing my suitcase) for my next adventure. I have been so fortunate to not only travel this beautiful country, but also explore the world and all it has to offer. I can't wait to take my camera around the world and share the experiences and people I come across through my lens.

The question I have received the most, is why the name Lonesome Dove Photography? Well, if you know, you know. And by that, I mean you know the mini series Lonesome Dove. Two former Texas Rangers rejuvenate their sense of adventure and drive a herd of cattle from the dusty town of Lonesome Dove, TX, bordering the Rio Grande, to the breath taking mountain ranges of Montana. Along the way they experience rekindled friendships, one-sided love stories, hardships of the Wild West, and death. The lessons taught in this series have stuck with me through my life and the series became a favorite movie of mine. I cherish this movie near and dear to my heart and it seemed fitting to incorporate it back into the newest adventure I'm on!
